Our Story
Creator Workshops (Pty) Ltd is a small business founded in 2017 focused on personal interaction with our students. Our founder is Timothy Evan Cantrell. He began by taking LEGO Engineering and Robotics classes as a student himself. During this time, he won gold at the National Finals of the World Robot Olympiad (WRO) twice. He then was sent to represent South Africa at the International Finals of the WRO in Indonesia. His time as a student inspired him to continue in the LEGO Education world as a teacher. Before founding Creator Workshops, Evan taught LEGO Engineering at another company for several years. He then launched off on his own, seeking to offer students the same excellent LEGO Engineering experience he benefited from in his youth. Since then, Creator Workshops has equipped hundreds of students with these skills, sending many teams to the WRO and training several national gold medalists.

Our Passion
Creator Workshops uses LEGO® Education materials to equip learners with a fundamental knowledge of the principles of engineering and technology. Our facilitators have been trained by Evan Cantrell to impart the same of love for LEGO Engineering that inspired the founding of Creator Workshops. Our teaching methods are instructive and engaging, with a focus on the practical application of every concept. Our passion for learning underscores the holistic approach of our Mechanics classes. Our love for South Africa drives us to prepare our Robotics teams for success at home and abroad!
